About Save The Horses

We are the Save The Horses (Horse Rescue Relief and Retirement Fund, Inc.), a non-profit established in 1998. Our mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, and neglected horses and other animals. We address the urgent need for rescue services and equine public education and are an all-volunteer organization. We also operating solely on the donations given through the generosity of compassionate and caring people. Save The Horses is a No-Kill Shelter!

We have rescued hundreds of neglected, abused and abandoned horses and other animals over the years and your help will always be needed. Lately, the needs have been greater than ever. We recently picked up 20 animals from Fulton County Animal Services, including pregnant mares, stallions, injured horses, and an at-large donkey. This does not include horses from other counties, including sheep, goats, roosters, potbelly pigs, and a female hog. The recent drought has created an emergency shortage of hay, which has caused our costs to skyrocket.

You can help our rescue efforts by giving a Gift of Love during our End of Year fundraiser. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity, so your gift donations are tax deductible.
